Biography

John Marshall was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1980 until 2010, finishing his career with the Oakland Raiders as their defensive coordinator. Over his thirty-one years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 264-222-2. During the 1997 season as the defensive coordinator of the San Francisco 49ers he coached Dana Stubblefield to the AP Defensive Player of the Year.
