The Oakland Raiders' fiftieth season was in 2009, playing their home games at Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum. During the offseason they promoted Tom Cable to lead the team. Cable previously was the interim head coach/offensive line coach of the Oakland Raiders and had three years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the season 5-11-0, 2-6-0 at home and 3-5-0 on the road.
