1994 was the forty-ninth season for the San Francisco 49ers and the fifth season for George Seifert as the head coach of the 49ers. They finished the season 13-3-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the San Diego Chargers 49-26 for the team's fifth championship. At the end of the season Steve Young earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and Deion Sanders earned AP Defensive Player of the Year.
