The San Francisco 49ers' forty-ninth season was in 1994, and it was the sixth season George Seifert served as the head coach of the team. The 49ers played their home games at Candlestick Park. They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC West, and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the San Diego Chargers 49-26, the team's fifth championship win. At the end of the season Steve Young earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and Deion Sanders earned AP Defensive Player of the Year.
