The San Francisco 49ers' forty-seventh season was in 1992, and it was the fourth season George Seifert served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 14-2-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Dallas Cowboys 30-20. At the end of the season, Steve Young was awarded with the AP Offensive Player of the Year award.
