1993 was the forty-eighth season for the San Francisco 49ers and the fourth season for George Seifert as the head coach of the 49ers. They finished the season 10-6-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the Dallas Cowboys 38-21. At the conclusion of the season two different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Dana Stubblefield, AP Defensive Rookie of the Year and Jerry Rice, AP Offensive Player of the Year.
