The San Francisco 49ers' forty-eighth season was in 1993, and it was the fifth season George Seifert served as the head coach of the team. The 49ers played their home games at Candlestick Park. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC West, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Dallas Cowboys 38-21. At the end of the season Dana Stubblefield earned AP Defensive Rookie of the Year and Jerry Rice earned AP Offensive Player of the Year.
