The Cincinnati Bengals' forty-second season was in 2009, and it was the seventh season Marvin Lewis served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the New York Jets 24-14. At the end of the season, Marvin Lewis was awarded with the Coach of the Year award.
