The Green Bay Packers' eighty-ninth season was in 2009, and it was the fourth season Mike McCarthy served as the head coach of the team. The Packers played their home games at Lambeau Field. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Arizona Cardinals 51-45. At the end of the season, Charles Woodson was awarded with the AP Defensive Player of the Year award.
