2009 was the fiftieth season for the New England Patriots and the ninth season for Bill Belichick as the head coach of the Patriots. They finished the season 10-6-0 in the regular season. However, they lost their first playoff game to the Baltimore Ravens 33-14. At the conclusion of the season Tom Brady was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year.
