The New England Patriots' fiftieth season was in 2009, and it was the tenth season Bill Belichick served as the head coach of the team. The Patriots played their home games at Gillette Stadium. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC East, but they lost their first playoff game to the Baltimore Ravens 33-14. At the end of the season, Tom Brady was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
