2009 was the fiftieth season for the Kansas City Chiefs. During the offseason they hired Todd Haley to lead the team. Haley previously was the offensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals and has a total of fourteen years of coaching in the NFL. They finished the season 4-12-0, 1-7-0 at home and 3-5-0 on the road. At the conclusion of the season Brian Waters was awarded with the Walter Payton Man of the Year.
