Career Summary
Jerry Glanville was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1974 to 1993, finishing his career as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Over his fourteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 96-121-0. During his career he was a head coach for eight seasons, first with the Houston Oilers. He led the Oilers for four seasons, compiling a record of 33-30-0. He was fired from the Oilers on Saturday, January 6, 1990. His next head coaching stint was with the Atlanta Falcons from 1990 to 1993, as he led the team to a 27-37-0 record. He was fired from the Falcons on Wednesday, January 5, 1994. During his entire head coaching career, his two teams combined for a record of 60-67-0 across eight seasons including going 3-4-0 in the playoffs.
