The Houston Oilers' twenty-ninth season was in 1988, and it was the fourth season Jerry Glanville served as the head coach of the team. The Oilers played their home games at Reliant Astrodome. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Buffalo Bills 17-10.
