Career Summary
Kevin Gilbride was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1989 to 2013, finishing his career as the offensive coordinator of the New York Giants. Over his twenty-four years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 194-190-0. He was the head coach of the San Diego Chargers from 1997 until the 1998 season, during which time the Chargers went 9-23-0. During his career he was a head coach for two seasons. He was fired from the Chargers on Tuesday, October 13, 1998.
Career Awards
During the 1990 season as the offensive coordinator of the Houston Oilers he coached Warren Moon to the AP Offensive Player of the Year.
