Career Summary
Nick Saban was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1988 to 2006, finishing his career as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Over his eight years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 65-63-0. He was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 2005 until the 2006 season, during which time the Dolphins went 15-17-0. During his career he was a head coach for two seasons. He resigned from the Dolphins on Wednesday, January 3, 2007. Saban resigned after two years with the Dolphins to return to college football as the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Career Awards
During the 2006 season as the head coach of the Miami Dolphins he coached Jason Taylor to the AP Defensive Player of the Year.
