Career Summary
Bill Arnsparger was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1964 to 2002, finishing his career as the associate head coach-defense of the San Diego Chargers. Over his twenty-six years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 250-139-6. He was the head coach of the New York Giants from 1974 until the 1976 season, during which time the Giants went 10-32-0. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons.

Before he was a head coach, Arnsparger served as an assistant coach for Don Shula, Bobby Ross, Norv Turner, and Marty Schottenheimer. Eighteen of these years were spent on Shula's coaching staff.
