Career Summary
Bill Arnsparger was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1964 to 2002, finishing his career as the associate head coach-defense of the San Diego Chargers. Over his twenty-six years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 250-139-6. He was the head coach of the New York Giants from 1974 until the 1976 season, during which time the Giants went 10-32-0. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons.

Before he was a head coach, Arnsparger served as an assistant coach for Don Shula, Bobby Ross, Norv Turner, and Marty Schottenheimer. Eighteen of these years were spent on Shula's coaching staff. During his time as head coach, two assistant coaches, (Marty Schottenheimer and John McVay) on his coaching staff were hired as head coaches across the league.
