1968 was the twentieth season for the Baltimore Colts and the fifth season for Don Shula as the head coach of the Colts. They finished the season 13-1-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the New York Jets 16-7. At the conclusion of the season two different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Don Shula, Coach of the Year and Earl Morrall, Most Valuable Player.
