The Baltimore Colts' sixteenth season was in 1968, and it was the sixth season Don Shula served as the head coach of the team. The Colts played their home games at Memorial Stadium. They finished the year 13-1-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the Coastal, and 2-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the New York Jets 16-7. At the end of the season, Don Shula was awarded with the Coach of the Year award.
