The Miami Dolphins' sixth season was in 1971, and it was the second season Don Shula served as the head coach of the team. The Dolphins played their home games at Miami Orange Bowl. They finished the year 10-3-1 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC East, and 2-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Dallas Cowboys 24-3.
