The New York Giants' fiftieth season was in 1974, playing their home games at Yale Bowl. During the offseason they hired Bill Arnsparger to lead the team. Arnsparger previously was the assistant head coach-defense of the Miami Dolphins and had ten years of coaching experience in the NFL.
