The Miami Dolphins' fifth season was in 1970, playing their home games at Miami Orange Bowl. During the offseason they hired Don Shula to lead the team. During his time in the NFL he was head coach for seven years. They finished the year 10-4-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Oakland Raiders 21-14.
