The Miami Dolphins' fourteenth season was in 1979, and it was the tenth season Don Shula served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-14. At the end of the season, Larry Csonka was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
