Bobby Ross was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1978 to 2000, finishing his career as the head coach of the Detroit Lions. He led the Chargers for five seasons, compiling a record of 47-33-0. His next head coaching stint was with the Detroit Lions from 1997 to 2000, as he led the team to a 31-33-0 record.
