1992 was the thirty-third season for the San Diego Chargers. During the offseason they hired Bobby Ross to lead the team. Ross previously was the offensive backs coach of the Kansas City Chiefs in 1981 and has a total of four years of coaching in the NFL. They finished the season 11-5-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the Miami Dolphins 31-0.
