The Carolina Panthers' eleventh season was in 2005, and it was the fourth season John Fox served as the head coach of the team. The Panthers played their home games at Bank of America Stadium. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Seattle Seahawks 34-14. At the end of the season, Steve Smith was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
