The Carolina Panthers' eleventh season was in 2005, and it was the fourth season John Fox served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Seattle Seahawks 34-14. At the end of the season, Steve Smith was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
