The New England Patriots' forty-sixth season was in 2005, and it was the fifth season Bill Belichick served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Denver Broncos 27-13. At the end of the season, Tedy Bruschi was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
