The New England Patriots' forty-sixth season was in 2005, and it was the sixth season Bill Belichick served as the head coach of the team. The Patriots played their home games at Gillette Stadium. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC East, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Denver Broncos 27-13. At the end of the season, Tedy Bruschi was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
