The Denver Broncos' forty-sixth season was in 2005, and it was the eleventh season Mike Shanahan served as the head coach of the team. The Broncos played their home games at INVESCO Field at Mile High. They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC West, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-17.
