The New York Giants' sixty-second was in 1986, and it was the third season Bill Parcells served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 14-2-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Denver Broncos 39-20, the team's seventh championship win. At the end of the season Bill Parcells earned Coach of the Year; Lawrence Taylor earned AP Defensive Player of the Year; and Phil Simms earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player.
