The Minnesota Vikings' sixty-second season was in 2022, playing their home games at U.S. Bank Stadium. During the offseason they hired Kevin O'Connell to lead the team. O'Connell previously was the offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams and had seven years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the year 13-4-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC North, but they lost their first playoff game to the New York Giants 31-24. At the end of the season, Justin Jefferson was awarded with the AP Offensive Player of the Year award.
