Career Summary

Mike Smith is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the outside linebackers coach for the New England Patriots since 2025. Prior to this season, he coached for the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings for eleven seasons. His most recent position was with the Vikings as their outside linebackers coach/pass rush specialist. Smith was hired as the new outside linebackers coach of the New England Patriots for the 2025 season.

Playing Career

He was drafted in the seventh round with the two hundred and thirty-fourth pick in the 2005 draft to play linebacker for the Ravens.
