The New York Giants' ninety-eighth season was in 2022, playing their home games at MetLife Stadium. During the offseason they hired Brian Daboll to lead the team. Daboll previously was the offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills and had twenty-one years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the year 9-7-1 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 38-7. At the end of the season, Brian Daboll was awarded with the Coach of the Year award.
