2017 was the eighty-second season for the Los Angeles Rams. During the offseason they hired Sean McVay to lead the team. McVay previously was the offensive coordinator of the Washington Redskins and has a total of eight years of coaching in the NFL. They finished the season 11-5-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Atlanta Falcons 26-13. At the end of the season Sean McVay earned Coach of the Year; Aaron Donald earned AP Defensive Player of the Year; and Todd Gurley earned AP Offensive Player of the Year.
