The Detroit Lions' eighty-second season was in 2011, and it was the third season Jim Schwartz served as the head coach of the team. The Lions played their home games at Ford Field. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the New Orleans Saints 45-28. At the end of the season, Matthew Stafford was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
