The New Orleans Saints' forty-fifth season was in 2011, and it was the sixth season Sean Payton served as the head coach of the team. The Saints played their home games at Louisiana Superdome. They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC South, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the San Francisco 49ers 36-32. At the end of the season, Drew Brees was awarded with the AP Offensive Player of the Year award.
