2011 was the forty-fifth season for the New Orleans Saints and the fifth season for Sean Payton as the head coach of the Saints. They finished the season 13-3-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the San Francisco 49ers 36-32. At the conclusion of the season Drew Brees was awarded with the AP Offensive Player of the Year.
