Biography

Dennis Allen is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) working as the defensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints. He held this position since 2016. Prior to this role, he started with the Saints as the team's senior defensive assistant coach in 2015. During his career he was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders from 2012 until the 2014 season. The Raiders went 11-37-0 during their three seasons with Allen as head coach. As the defensive coordinator of the New Orleans Saints he coached multiple players to award-winning seasons: Von Miller, AP Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2011; Marshon Lattimore, AP Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2017.
