Biography

Elijah Pitts was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1978 until 1997, finishing his career with the Buffalo Bills as their assistant head coach/running backs coach. Over his eighteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 142-138-0. During the 1995 season as the interim coach of the Buffalo Bills he coached Bryce Paup to the AP Defensive Player of the Year.
