The Buffalo Bills' thirty-seventh season was in 1996, and it was the eleventh season Marv Levy served as the head coach of the team. The Bills played their home games at Rich Stadium. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-27. At the end of the season, Bruce Smith was awarded with the AP Defensive Player of the Year award.
