The Green Bay Packers' fifty-second season was in 1972, and it was the second season Dan Devine served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 10-4-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Washington Redskins 16-3. At the end of the season, Willie Buchanon was awarded with the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
