The Green Bay Packers' fifty-second season was in 1972, and it was the second season Dan Devine served as the head coach of the team. The Packers played their home games at Lambeau Field. They finished the year 10-4-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC Central, but they lost their first playoff game to the Washington Redskins 16-3. At the end of the season, Willie Buchanon was awarded with the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
