The Buffalo Bills' twenty-ninth season was in 1988, and it was the third season Marv Levy served as the head coach of the team. The Bills played their home games at Rich Stadium. They finished the year 12-4-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC East, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Cincinnati Bengals 21-10.
