The Buffalo Bills' twenty-first season was in 1980, and it was the third season Chuck Knox served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the San Diego Chargers 20-14. At the end of the season, Chuck Knox was awarded with the Coach of the Year award.
