Career Summary

Mike McCarthy is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the head coach for the Dallas Cowboys since 2020. During this time period, the Cowboys compiled a 42-25-0 record. During his career he was a head coach for seventeen seasons, first with the Green Bay Packers. He led the Packers for thirteen seasons, compiling a record of 127-79-2. In 2010, the Packers won the Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25. He was fired from the Packers. His next head coaching stint was with the Dallas Cowboys from 2020 to 2023, as he led the team to a 42-25-0 record. During his entire head coaching career, his two teams combined for a record of 169-104-2 across seventeen seasons including going 11-11-0 in the playoffs.

Career Awards

As the head coach of the Green Bay Packers he coached four players to award-winning seasons: Charles Woodson, AP Defensive Player of the Year in 2009; Aaron Rodgers, Most Valuable Player in 2011; Eddie Lacy, AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2013; Aaron Rodgers, Most Valuable Player in 2014; Jordy Nelson, Comeback Player of the Year in 2016.
