1993 was the thirty-fourth season for the Kansas City Chiefs and the fourth season for Marty Schottenheimer as the head coach of the Chiefs. They finished the season 11-5-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the Buffalo Bills 30-13. At the conclusion of the season two different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Marcus Allen, Comeback Player of the Year and Derrick Thomas, Man of the Year.
