Biography

Ernie Zampese was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1976 to 2004, finishing his career as the offensive consultant of the Washington Redskins. Over his twenty-six years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 196-210-0.

As the offensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams he coached three players to award-winning seasons: Charles White, Comeback Player of the Year in 1987; Greg Bell, Comeback Player of the Year in 1988; Jerome Bettis, AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1993.
