During his career, he won the Comeback Player of the Year in 2004, playing for the San Diego Chargers; the Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2006, playing for the New Orleans Saints; the AP Offensive Player of the Year in 2008, playing for the New Orleans Saints; the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player in 2009, playing for the New Orleans Saints; and the AP Offensive Player of the Year in 2011, playing for the New Orleans Saints.
