2011 was the eighty-seventh season for the New York Giants and the seventh season for Tom Coughlin as the head coach of the Giants. They finished the season 9-7-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the New England Patriots 21-17 for the team's seventh championship. At the conclusion of the season Eli Manning was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player.
