They finished the year 9-7-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC East, and 4-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the New England Patriots 21-17, the team's eighth championship win. At the end of the season, Eli Manning was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
