2016 was the fifty-seventh season for the Dallas Cowboys and the fifth season for Jason Garrett as the head coach of the Cowboys. They finished the season 13-3-0 in the regular season. However, they lost their first playoff game to the Green Bay Packers 34-31. At the conclusion of the season two different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Jason Garrett, Coach of the Year and Dak Prescott, AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.
