2007 was the forty-eighth season for the New England Patriots and the seventh season for Bill Belichick as the head coach of the Patriots. They finished the season 16-0-0 in the regular season and 2-1 in the playoffs eventually losing to the New York Giants 17-14. At the conclusion of the season two different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Bill Belichick, Coach of the Year and Tom Brady, AP Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player.
