The Dallas Cowboys' forty-eighth season was in 2007, playing their home games at Texas Stadium. During the offseason they hired Wade Phillips to lead the team. During his time in the NFL he was head coach for five years. They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC East, but they lost their first playoff game to the New York Giants 21-17. At the end of the season, Greg Ellis was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
