2007 was the forty-eighth season for the Dallas Cowboys. During the offseason they hired Wade Phillips to lead the team. During his time in the NFL he was head coach for five years. They finished the season 13-3-0 in the regular season. However, they lost their first playoff game to the New York Giants 21-17. At the conclusion of the season Greg Ellis was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year.
