2007 was the eighty-third season for the New York Giants and the third season for Tom Coughlin as the head coach of the Giants. They finished the season 10-6-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the New England Patriots 17-14 for the team's seventh championship. At the conclusion of the season Eli Manning was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player.
