They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Buffalo Bills 20-19, the team's seventh championship win. At the end of the season, Ottis Anderson was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
