The Chicago Bears' sixty-ninth season was in 1988, and it was the seventh season Mike Ditka served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 12-4-0 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the San Francisco 49ers 28-3. At the end of the season Mike Ditka earned Coach of the Year and Mike Singletary earned AP Defensive Player of the Year.
