The Chicago Bears' sixty-ninth season was in 1988, and it was the seventh season Mike Ditka served as the head coach of the team. The Bears played their home games at Soldier Field. They finished the year 12-4-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC Central, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the San Francisco 49ers 28-3. At the end of the season Mike Ditka earned Coach of the Year and Mike Singletary earned AP Defensive Player of the Year.
