Career Summary
Ed Hughes was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1960 to 1989, finishing his career as the offensive assistant coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Over his thirty years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 235-191-10. He was also the head coach of the Houston Oilers for the 1971 season. The Oilers went 4-9-1 in this lone season as a head coach. During his career he was a head coach for one season.
