2003 was the eighth season for the Baltimore Ravens and the fourth season for Brian Billick as the head coach of the Ravens. They finished the season 10-6-0 in the regular season. However, they lost their first playoff game to the Tennessee Titans 20-17. At the conclusion of the season three different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Terrell Suggs, AP Defensive Rookie of the Year; Ray Lewis, AP Defensive Player of the Year; and Jamal Lewis, AP Offensive Player of the Year.
